blah blah blah

So yesterday turned from a good day to a bad day in a matter of moments. Why? Well, everything was going great from the night before: I had gotten an acceptance letter from my top-choice college, and I was feelin' good. True, I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday, but it was something I couldn't avoid, so I didn't want to feel sad about it.

I got home from school yesterday and was chilling on the computer for a bit. I think I was watching random youtube videos or something. Then, I started to half-listen to a conversation my mom was having on the telephone. Believe it or not, I'm actually quite good a eavesdropping. While half-listening, I noticed that the conversation was about me, or more specifically, about my wisdom tooth surgery. I sat in my office and started listening intently to the half of the conversation I was hearing from the next room. Before it was even over, I could tell what was going on.

My surgery was being canceled. Again. I started to feel sick. You need to understand, I've been waiting to get this surgery for a year and a half. It has been scheduled and re-scheduled at least three times. I NEED to get my wisdom teeth out! They're impacted, and I've got an extra tooth! Not getting them removed is making my TMJ worse! My jaw hurts.

I wouldn't be as upset as I am if the re-scheduling was unavoidable, but that isn't the case. The ONLY reason it was re-scheduled was because the Surgical Center I was supposed to get it done at did not contact my family until YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, THE DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY, to tell us that there was a problem. It's complicated, but long story short, my health insurance provider did not want to pay for my surgery, (side note: why the f--- not, that's what I want to know), and the center told my mom that we needed to show up with something like $2000 cash when we went in for the surgery the next day.

Stop. Who the hell has $2000 cash lying around? Not me!

My mom had no choice but to cancel. After a flurry of phone calls, she was able to get me another wisdom tooth removal appointment for me, at the Hospital this time, which better work out, or I don't know what. Third time's the charm?

All in all, yesterday sucked. Why? I got ass-raped by the Surgical Center.
